Technical Report on ATAG/TTEL/GES Collaborative Workshop

The leadership of the Art Teachers’ Association of Ghana (ATAG) on June 3, 2025, wrote to Transforming Teaching Education & Learning (TTEL) and Ghana Education Service (GES) proposing a collaborative nationwide sensitisation workshop to address critical challenges in delivering the new Art and Design Foundation and Art Design Studio curricula across Senior High Schools (SHS) in all 16 regions offering the visual art programme. The letter from the ATAG leadership was in response to urgent feedback from some visual art teachers (in their letter dated January 13, 2025), who petitioned the GES and Ministry of Education to reinstate the old curriculum, which is a clear indication of systemic implementation gaps.
